Or noticed that your shoulders and upper back are too rounded forward? You’ll learn simple techniques to improve posture and stand straighter. We’ll do exercises to help flatten the upper back, un-round shoulders and flatten your midsection. Learn how to reduce the risk of osteoporosis and how to re-gain bone mass. We’ll discuss the latest research findings on nutrition, minerals and trace minerals needed for bone health; foods that help and/or harm your bones and more. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Once your child ages out or moves on to a new level please email Kimm at kmiens1@isd94.org to move your registration to the next class. This will help in scheduling classes and keep better track of kids in their swim levels. Some cell phone companies do block our texts, so you are encouraged to also provide an email address as well. Swim LessonsPlease note that our pool is a competition pool and so the water temperature is set lower to accommodate, especially between August - December. If unsure if you child would tolerate the cooler temperatures, please come to one of our Family Friday night swims. If you are signing up for Swim Lessons, please make sure the "receive text" box is checked. Parent and Child Aquatics: Ages 6 months to 4 years old Parent and Child Aquatics Level 1 (formerly Water Babies): Ages 6 months - 2 years. Familiarize participants with the water and teach swimming readiness skills. Provide safety information for parents and teach techniques parents can use to orient their children to the water. Parent and Child Aquatics Level 2 (formerly Tadpoles): Ages 2 to 4 years - Builds on skills learned in Parent and Child Aquatics Level 1 Preschool Aquatics: Ages 4 to 6 Preschool Aquatics Level 1 (formerly Water Whales): Ages 4 to 6. Water adjustment, floating, entry, movement, safety, and listening skills. Preschool Aquatics Level 2 (formerly Jellyfish): Ages 4 to 6. Recommended for students who have passed Preschool Aquatics Level 1, but are not 6 years old. Build on and improve skills learned in Preschool Aquatics Level 1. Learn-to-Swim: Ages 6+ Level 1 - Introduction to Basic Water Skills (Ages 6+) Purpose: Helps students feel comfortable in the water, develop safe practices around water. Level 2 - Fundamental Aquatic Skills Purpose: Gives students success with fundamental skills. Level 3 - Stroke Development Purpose: Builds on the skills in Level 2 through additional guided practices. Level 4 - Stroke Improvement Purpose: Develops confidence in the skills learned and improves other aquatic skills. Level 5 - Stroke Refinement Refines skills learned in Level 4. Swim distances and stroke knowledge are increased. Participants refine skills of all six swimming strokes (i.e. front crawl, back crawl, butterfly, breaststroke, elementary backstroke, and sidestroke) Level 6 -Swimming and Skill Proficiency- Personal Water Safety: Refine strokes so participants swim them with greater efficiency and effectiveness over longer distances. The Beach at Pinehurst ParkBeach Passes - No need to carry a pass around! - You will check in by name each day you attend. Swim AreasThe zero entry is great for little ones. Swim lanes and a 6 foot center depth - for swimmers of all levels. Facility & ActivitiesChanging rooms, kiddie slides, sand volleyball court, shade umbrellas, picnic areas available. SafetyThe Beach follows American Red Cross safety guidelines. Lifeguards on duty. Beach-goers should use the buddy system and supervise young children at all times. Lifejackets are optional in the Canoe and Frog slide areas (indicated in red). For the rest of the pond, all Swimmers, 11 years old and younger will be required to wear a life jacket except children ages 9 - 11 can test out of wearing a jacket or be exempt if they have passed Level 4 Swim test with Cloquet Community Education. Only U.S. Coast Guard approved flotation devices may be worn in the water. 6 years and under need to be supervised by an adult that is in the water with them.12 years and up can come alone. These free to check out activity totes are designed for children in 6th grade and younger to enjoy with an older adult—like a grandparent, grandfriend, or another caring adult in their life. Each tote is filled with hands-on activities and themed materials to spark curiosity and connection. Themes include: Reading Science Nature Camping Outdoor Games Music Builders Totes can be checked out for up to one week and are a perfect way to create lasting memories while learning and playing together. Together Time Totes are part of the Age to Age initiative, supported by a grant from the Northland Foundation. Explore, discover, and connect —one tote at a time! Vista Boat Tour - AWDAdults with Disabilities (AWD)Vista Boat - Duluth Waterfront Tour - Sunday, June 14, 2026 - Time: 12:30 - 3:00 PM Enjoy a 1 hour, 15 minute tour of the beautiful Lake Superior and surrounding Duluth area. Participants will be able to sit wherever they’d like to sit--whether it’s the lower deck, upper deck, or even on the top deck, soaking up some sun! There will be a concessions counter open if you’d like to get yourself a treat! (Bring your own money for this please.) Seating will be first come, first serve, so please arrive on time, if not earlier! Boarding will begin at 1:00 PM. The boat will leave at 1:25 PM and will return at 2:40. The deadline to purchase tickets will be Monday, June 1st (Unless the cruise sells out.)
