In the event that it rains, we will stay at the school and have an indoor open gym. We will also have crafts, playdough and Legos for kids to play with. Pick up is at 4:15 from Churchill if it rains. Please make sure your child has proper outdoor gear for the walk and outside playtime. If we stay at the school due to inclement weather, you will be notified via email or text by 1:00 PM the day of. Northern Outdoors ClubChurchill ElementaryNorthern Outdoors Club owner, Cassie Janke, will teach students about outdoor education, recreation & safety here at Churchill Elementary. It is imperative that your child brings appropriate outdoor gear to enjoy these outdoor classes. Dates/Classes Wednesday, September 16: Camping Adventure Have fun in this awesome active program by working in groups to make your shelter (tent) and hopefully survive a scenario by choosing the correct items to use. Then, make a small fire, guided by the instructor, for a sweet treat! Wednesday, October 7: Build a Bat House Learn about bats with Halloween approaching - when they are remembered the most! Each student will make their own take-home bat house and learn some of the best places to hang it to help our bug-eating bat friends! Wednesday, October 21: Spirit of the Pumpkin Get in the Halloween spirit by learning about the life cycle of a pumpkin! Each student gets to use safe, but not your average pumpkin carving tools, to create or destroy their own pumpkin (big or small) grown by the instructor, Cassie. We will also put our taste buds to the test by eating some fresh pumpkin items! Wednesday, November 4: Gametime Traveler Learn and play many different games played throughout time eras! Go back in time to the Prehistoric and Voguer Life by experiencing the entertainment of the past by using very little equipment. This class will take place outside and will be very active & hands-on! Wednesday, November 18: Fire Master First, learn about the elements needed to create fire during this class. Then, learn & practice the many methods and skills from an older time to modern day to create fire! Also, make a take-home firestarter from recycled and foraged material for future campfire/ woodstove use. Wednesday, December 9: Feather Art Try out your art skills with painting on a feather! First, we’ll go through some bird identification, then make some cool take-home art projects involving feathers! This class is great for creating a homemade Christmas gift or discovering a new hobby! Feel free to freestyle or use instructor- provided designs/stencils.Fall 2026 -

Soccer ClubChurchill ElementaryDASH Sports has a simple mission: to provide communities with well-organized, structured, and fun sports programs for kids. After School Enrichment has hired highly qualified coaches to provide students with detailed curricula and practice plans that have been developed over the past 20 years. Their coaches follow these time-tested methods to ensure consistent, high-quality instruction. This means that, when your child joins a DASH Sports program, they are not just participating in a camp — they are learning from coaches who use curricula refined through two decades of experience and proven results. As always, an After School Enrichment employee will be present at each and every class. Signing your child up for a sport reserves their place in all scheduled sessions; attendance at all classes is appreciated. Soccer Camp Class Description: Ignite your love for the game! Our soccer camps teach essential skills—dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense—through technical drills and exciting games. We group players by level, ensuring everyone is challenged while learning the values of Respect, Hustle, and Pride. We finish the week with a scrimmage.
