Our Grandparents Class provides an excellent opportunity for you to play and explore the classroom with your grandchild(ren). Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) recognizes that grandparents can be one of a child’s first and most important teachers. ECFE offers grandparents hands-on learning experiences and discussions specific to their grandchild's age that will help build the foundation for a lifetime of learning. What happens in an ECFE class? 1. Grandparent and child interaction time: A licensed early childhood teacher and assistant provide developmentally appropriate activities, songs and stories for grandparents and children to enjoy together. 2. Child time: A time devoted to learning through play and activities with licensed teachers and assistants while grandparents participate in a discussion time in a separate room. 3.
